In the previous post I mentioned that I had been confused with Monaco and Morocco. It was not the only case. Besides, I had been confused with Cannes and Ghana as well because of the confusing translations in Chinese.

上回书说到，我以前总搞不清摩纳哥和摩洛哥。这不是孤案，我弄混的还有戛纳和加纳。因为“戛然而止”的“戛”明明发音是“加”，但在“戛纳”（Cannes）里却要读作“嘎纳”；而 Ghana 的读音命名明明是“嘎纳”，却翻译成“加纳”。我只有在写下上面这段文字时才区分得出来。

Day 3. Cannes 戛纳

On the third day we visited Cannes. Cannes is less than one hour’s drive by train from Nice. The railway was so close to the sea that you could probably fall into the water if you jump off the train. Cannes was one of my wife’s dream destinations. She was looking forward to taking a walk on the Red Carpet. This wish was finally fulfilled.

Cannes provided us more than the Red Carpet. We enjoyed the beach for hours, because it was much better than the stony foot-hurting beach in Nice. The sand was fine and the water was clean for kids’ playing with. In the meanwhile I was shocked when I saw half-naked women either swimming or having a sunbathing!

第三天的行程安排是戛纳。从尼斯去戛纳，可以乘坐 200 路公交车，车票便宜，但需要1.5小时; 也可以乘坐火车，车票贵一些，但省时间，不到1小时。因为带着孩子，我们就选择了火车。一路上的海滨风光美妙极了。铁轨距离海滩如此之近，如果从火车上跳下来，那么多半会落到海水里湿了鞋。

戛纳之旅，媳妇期盼已久。不为别的，只为走走红地毯。事实上，戛纳给我们的远远不止红地毯。戛纳的海滩比尼斯强多了，因为是沙滩，而不是尼斯那种硌脚的石滩，而且海水非常清澈，孩子们在海滩上玩了好几个小时。我也乐得陪伴。让我惊讶的是，这里的女士们豪爽极了，好多女士半裸着游泳或晒太阳。当天没戴墨镜，回来的路上眼睛很不舒服，大概是被亮瞎了。
