European and American people learn Asian culture from Korea and Japan, which technically originated from China. However, they have to spend time and money on the application for a visa before a visit to China. Instead, it is much easier for them to go to Korea or Japan. They can stay in Korea in three months, and go to Japan for another three-month stay, and come back to Korea, so on and so forth, without any visa application procedure.
这两天早上去偷土豆——是真偷，不是上开心网。这一行为用专业术语称作“生物质采样”。采样回来要分离，每株土豆你猜有多少片叶子？两千多片。老板让每次采十株，经过讨价还价最后定为采八株。这大概两万片叶子需要我手工一片一片摘下来，称重，测叶面积，烘干，再称重，再回来分析。活儿干起来那场面，像个大厨房。
